Wow…. Another accidental find and a total gem of a restaurant. Food was AMAZING….service was AMAZING. A really excellent location where you get what you pay for. Vince our server was engaging, personable and great to chat with and made our already superb meal simply better. Why we’ve never been to Brandl before is a complete mystery but now that we’ve “discovered” it Brandl is on our go to list. It’s BYOB (surprisingly) so be prepared for that but you will be very happy with this choice. BRAVO ZULU to Brandl….you guys are awesome.

The atmosphere and decor are unique. The food was delicious and service very good. It was not busy for us around 6:45 PM on a Friday. The gnocchi special was very good and served toasted on top of the sauce. The short rib was melt in your mouth tender and very rich. I couldn’t finish it. Try the soufflé !

Nice dinner last night at Brandl in Belmar, NJ. I did not get pictures of their excellent appetizers but did get one of the #clams #shrimp #chicken #chorizo #paella and the dessert #vanilla #icecream #applestrudel The paella was very good and was a dish for two. I split it with a friend and there enough left for a 3rd person. It was huge! Ice cream (1/4 cup) with caramel was perfect ending and could not tackle the strudel as I was full. Everyone in our group of six agreed it was excellent.
